Pearl City opened the 2016 OIA Western Division Varsity Baseball regular season with a 4-1 victory over Waianae on Wednesday, March 2 at Waianae High School.

Sam Prentice earned the win for Pearl City. Prentice allowed no runs, 4 hits with 7 strikeouts and 7 walks.

Thomas Kaauwai took the loss for Waianae allowing 3 runs on 4 hits with 2 strikeouts and 2 walks.
