Nanakuli kept Pearl City out of the regular season win column after dropping the Lady Chargers to 0-7 with a convincing 45-9 win last night in OIA Girls Varsity Basketball played at Pearl City High School.
The Lady Golden Hawks, who upped their record to 5-2, were dominate from the tip off, building up a 23-2 lead at the half. The second half went all Nanakuli's way as well as the Lady Hawks outscored Pearl City 22-7.
Tiare Kaopua led the Lady Hawks with 15 points. Merci Puni scored 6 points.
Kacie Chinen scored three points on 3-pointer for the Lady Chargers followed by Jurey Jao 2, Shandy Frantz 2, and Megan Ramos 2.
The Lady Chargers travel to Waianae on Thursday, January 10 with tip off scheduled for 7:00pm. JV hits the court at 5:30pm.
