Pearl City High School Interact Leadership Club once again joins Rotary Club of Pearlridge at Puuloa Springs workday

Mahalo to the Pearl City High School Interact Leadership Club for volunteering their time on Saturday to work alongside community volunteers from the Rotary Club of Pearlridge and Punahou School Key Club at the Puuloa Springs native Hawaiian Garden near Blaisdell Park in Aiea/Pearl City.

PCHS Interact Leadership Club Advisor Dane Souza led his club of student volunteers as they teamed up with RCOP community volunteers led by Puuloa Springs native Hawaiian Garden project chair and coordinator Lasar McCabe, RCOP President Dick Mosko, RCOP board member Ed Kido, and RCOP community volunteer Patrick McCabe.

A very special mahalo to Punahou School Key Club students and their advisor who generously donated their time to help out at the Puuloa Springs native Hawaiian Garden workday on Saturday.

The goal of Saturday’s workday was to plant several Plumeria trees provided by Lasar and Patrick McCabe, clear out weeds, cutback overgrown grass in the garden, and pick up trash and litter along the Pearl Harbor Bike Path near Puuloa Springs and the scenic and historical Pearl Harbor shoreline.

Mahalo to Rotary Club of Pearlridge sponsored Rotary Interact Leadership Clubs representing Pearl City High School, Highlands Intermediate School, and Our Savior Lutheran School in Aiea who have in the past two years, volunteered their time and energy to beautify, grow, and maintain the thriving Puuloa Springs native Hawaiian Garden.

I would also like to say mahalo to all the volunteers representing our schools, community organizations, government, corporate, and neighbors who live along the Pearl Harbor Bike Path fronting Puuloa Springs who have volunteered their time during the RCOP monthly Puuloa Springs native Hawaiian Garden workdays.

The Rotary Club of Pearlridge is truly grateful for the wonderful support from so many people who give from their heart and soul to beautify our neighborhood while working together to grow, through their sweat equity, a thriving and sustainable native Hawaiian Garden for all to enjoy.
