Mahalo to over 150 community volunteers who came together to clean and beautify Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Pearl City this morning.
The workday project at the cemetery was led by Larry Veray from the Friends for Sunset Memorial Park who has put his heart and soul into organizing the revitalization of the cemetery while uniting the community, community organizations, corporate partners, area elected officials, and State of Hawaii government.
$150,000 in future upgrades and cemetery maintenance will be supported by State of Hawaii budget funding secured by Representative Takayama and other area state legislators.
Mahal to all the volunteers from keiki to kupuna who worked really hard this morning to accomplish an overwhelming task of making a difference at the cemetery,
The spirit and souls of those buried and interned at Sunset Memorial Cemetery are smiling down on all the volunteers who shared their love and caring hearts for them.
