Mahalo to my fellow Mana Loa Nimitz Lions Club community volunteers who continued their work at the Pearl City High School Community Farm Project on Saturday, August 9.
Everyone worked really hard clearing out fencing poles and fencing, dug out old tree roots, moved bags of green waste to the Farm composting area, disposed of roots, tree trunks, weeds and grass, dug up and replanted a Papaya tree.
Mahalo to PCHS Farm manager Brian Walker for his backhoe skills and to Tyer Urasaki for driving the ATV. Tyler was great and a huge help. Tyler, MLNLC member Debra’s son, will be heading back to college soon at Creighton University in Nebraska.
We will return to help out with the PCHS Community Farm infrastructure on Saturday, 23.
