Robin Kami is in his final year as the head coach of the Pearl City High School Chargers football program.  Coach Kami became the winningest Charger varsity football head coach in school history in October of 2019 with 40 wins that moved him in front of the Chargers football program’s first head coach Joe Francis who recorded 39 wins in his career.

Coach Kami is in his thirteenth year and has a career win total of 60. An accomplished win total that will probably take a decade or two to break.

As Coach Kami continues his farewell tour during the 2025 Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II regular season, an adoring and grateful Chargers ohana will pack Edwin Bino Neves Stadium on the campus of Pearl City High School on Friday, October 4 to cheer and bid their beloved coach on his final Homecoming Night with a heartfelt roar of appreciation.

What started as a Charger football player (PCHS Class of 1983), has led to an incredible tenure for Coach Kami as the Charger Football Program leader who has grown and guided his student athletes through the years to become responsible men and teammates while instilling Charger Pride, Excellence with Honor in battle, in the classroom, as community volunteers, and as they enter the next chapter of their lives upon graduation and beyond.

Mahalo to all the Chargers coaching staff and support team members through the years that contributed while playing an integral role in Coach Kami’s and his student athletes success as Chargers.

Mahalo Coach Kami and his biggest supporters, wife Terri and the Kami ohana!

Mahalo Coach for allowing me to be on the sidelines to capture the special moments that represent your outstanding legacy and winning spirit.
