By Barry Villamil, Past President, Rotary Club of Pearlridge

I would like to send my heartfelt prayers to Dick Mosko, Rotary Club of Pearlridge (RCOP) Past President and Hawaii Rotary District 5000 Past District Governor who was recently called by the Lord into the light of Heaven. Prayers are also sent to Dick’s family and many friends.

Dick continues to be the bond and guiding light of the Rotary Club of Pearlridge and Hawaii Rotary District 5000 while sharing his blessed spirit and iconic legacy that defines the Heart and Soul of Rotary International’s “Service Above Self”.

I learned from Dick as my mentor and very special friend to give it my all and to serve with compassion for others as a Rotarian to better the lives of those in need, while also mentoring and providing for our youth through the Rotary Club of Pearlridge Interact Youth Leadership Program and the annual RCOP Dictionary 5000 and Good Citizen Awards Programs.

Dick also played an instrumental role in the RCOP sustainable, environmental efforts through community clean-ups and beautification projects along the Pearl Harbor Bike Path in Aiea and Pearl City.

I am extremely grateful to Dick for taking me under his wing while teaching and guiding me into being an effective leader as RCOP President in 2024-2025.

As a retired financial advisor executive, Dick was a financial expert and guru for the RCOP, District 5000, and also led the St. Elizabeth Church financial board.

Dick changed and enhanced my life and world as with many Rotarian leaders/friends who adore and thank him for decades of service to mankind in the spirit of Rotary.

“May the light that guides you, shine upon your soul”… Barry

God Bless Dick..
