Volunteers began their portion of the Pearl Harbor Bike Path Clean-up at Puuloa Springs near Blaisdell Park in Aiea/Pearl City.

Pearl City High School Interact Club volunteers and supporters headed West from Puuloa Springs picking up and bagging rubbish to the Hawaiian Electric Waiau Power Plant in Pearl City and back to Puuloa Springs.

Highlands Intermediate School Interact Club volunteers headed East from Puuloa Springs picking up and bagging rubbish to the bridge near Cutter Ford in Aiea and back to Puuloa Springs.

We all met up at Blaisdell Park for snacks, refreshments, and fellowship in the true spirit of Rotary International’s “Service Above Self”.

Mahalo to RCOP President-Elect Tim Mehlhorn for his leadership and for coordinating our club’s participation in Saturday’s clean-up.

Mahalo to RCOP members and supporters, Ed Kido and Terri Mehlhorn, PCHS Interact Club advisor Dane Souza and students (supporters), and Highlands Intermediate School advisor Eric White and students (supporters) for being there and supporting the community through their green, sustainable environmental efforts.

Proud to be a Rotarian!
