Pearl City over Roosevelt 5-3, advances to OIA DI Baseball Championship Semifinals

Congratulations to the Pearl City Chargers who defeated the visiting Roosevelt Rough Riders 5-3 on Wednesday in the Quarterfinals of the 2026 Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I Baseball Championship Playoffs played at Pearl City High School.

With the win, the Chargers advance to Thursday’s Semifinals to face the Kaiser Cougars who defeated  Kalani 11-8 in a Thursday Quarterfinal match-up at Kaiser High School.

Mililani beat Moanalua 10-0 and Kailua defeated Leilehua 2-0 to advance to face each other in a Semifinal match-up.

Pearl City’s Talon Haahao earned the win over Roosevelt on Thursday. Haahao pitched 5 complete innings while allowing 4 hits, 3 runs with 2 walks and 3 strikeouts. Kysen Hueu pitched 2 complete innings in relief for the Chargers.

Riki Uyeno took the loss for Roosevelt. Uyeno pitched 4 complete innings while allowing 6 hits, 5 runs with 2 walks and no strikeouts. Jacob Nakasone, Kem Lucas and Tai Pham pitched in relief for the Rough Riders.
