Pearl City Chargers placed 3rd overall out of 45 National teams in the 3-position Sporter Category over a two day tournament.
Aggregate score:
Middletown Post 151 NY 4,400
Zion Benton Team 1 4,388
Pearl City Chargers HS HI 4,306
Ramona HS CA 4,299
Based on the Regional results held a month prior – I thought that the Zion Benton team was the National favorites. Our practice was really strong at home, and we knew our team had the potential to do well as it could be a battle for second. Then the eventual tournament winners, Middletown Post 151, really improved and added a whopping 132 team points from their Regional score. Our Senior Capitan Jenna, had a stellar day one with a score of 555/600, keeping our team with a shot at the podium in 3rd. After day 2, Chloe finished the tournament strong with an extraordinary standing performance (92, 88) – 548/600 – to hold on to 3rd place. We were hopeful for a Top 8 individual finish this year and ended just short. Calie built upon her experience and added 33 points from Regionals and continues to get better and better. And for Rayna’s first time traveling handled the pressure amazingly well – without her joining late Pearl City wouldn’t have sent a team. We are proud and congratulate the girls with their awesome performance and finished with a 3rd place trophy and continued success from our 2nd place National finish in 2025.
Special thank you to the team Moms: Coach Mom Aranaydo, Chloe’s Mom Laura, and Rayna’s Mom Rosa, who traveled with us, helped manage meals, and supported us throughout the trip.
