I would like to share comments from Pearl City Senior Little League Head Coach Ty Takahashi after winning the 2026 Senior Little League Western Regional Championship Title and now head into today’s opening round of the 2026 Senior Little League World Series in Easley, South Carolina.
Head Coach Ty Takahashi:
“It was an awesome game of baseball! I’m so proud of these boys. They worked so hard for this and trusted in each other and trusted in their coaches. Because of that they were able to accomplish what they came here to do. Losing our first game was a big hit to the team but that loss really pulled the team together and it made us stronger. Want to say a huge thank you to my coaches. They were so helpful and committed to team. They played a huge part in our success.
These boys, so excited for them. So excited that they get to experience winning a west regional tournament. Not only that but play in a World Series tournament. This means so much to me because it’s little league. It’s community baseball. It hits the heart knowing we accomplished this with boys we knew/coached since they were 5 years old. Huge thank you to our families. We got the best families that wholeheartedly support our team. They are all so helpful with anything and everything that the team needs. They also played a huge part in our success in the west regional tournament.
Also thank you to all of our PC community that constantly supports these boys. So many people helped support our fundraisers. We are truly grateful for that. Thank you all. Takes a village! Everyone is healthy and ready to go for it in Easley.”
