Mahalo to Pearl City Foundation Director Naomi Tully-Ungacta, her amazing staff, community volunteers, and sponsors who once again presented, hosted, volunteered, and supported another fantastic Halloween Bash last night at the Momilani Community Center.

Around fifteen-hundred attendees experienced a fun, safe, and friendly family-oriented Halloween Night amongst Pearl City neighbors, friends, and visitors to our Pearl City community. Hundreds of keiki enjoyed filling their Trick or Treat bags with candy and other treats and prizes at the dozens of Trick or Treat booths that filled the Momilani Community Center Program Room. The keiki also had a fun time playing games and winning great prizes at the Game Booths located on the Momilani Community Center lawn.

Mahalo to Emcee Terry Visperas (Golden voice of University of Hawaii sports Promotions at the Stan Sheriff Center and community events), for his high energy while keeping everyone entertained and welcomed throughout the Halloween Bash event. Terry is also born and raised in Pearl City and a proud Pearl City High School alumnus.

I had the honor of representing 2026 Pearl City Foundation Halloween Bash financial sponsor Pearl City Shopping Center Merchants Association as a Costume Contest Judge and had the opportunity to cover the event for MyPearlCity.com.

Mahalo to fellow Costume Contest Judges:

Lynn Ruth โ€“ Pearl City Foundation Board of Directors, Mechanics Bank (sponsor)

Tony Velasco โ€“ Pearl City Community Association Board of Directors, Pearl City Neighborhood Board

Mahalo to Halloween Bash attendee sign in crew:

Alice Kudo โ€“ Pearl City Lions Club

Senator Brandon Elefante

Representative Gregg Takayama and Linda Takayama

Representative Cory Chun

Senator Rachel Lamosao

(my apologies if I missed anyone)

Mahalo to Mr. Eric Souza and the Pearl City High School Interact Club, Pearl City Lions Club and other community volunteers who manned the Games and Trick or Treat booths.

The highlight of the 2026 Halloween Bash was the annual Costume Contest that was open to keiki and their ohana in several categories from ages 0-2 to the final categories that were open to adults and families. Each category was awarded prizes for first, second, and third place.

A very special mahalo to all the very generous 2026 Pearl City Halloween Bash sponsors for their support of the Pearl City Foundation, our keiki, their ohana, and the Pearl City community.

A heartfelt mahalo of gratitude to Naomi Tully-Ungacta for her outstanding leadership and to her staff for putting their heart and soul into making the annual Halloween Bash a huge success on Halloween Night for the Pearl City community.
