Central East Maui captured the 2016 Hawaii Little League Seniors State Championship after defeating Pearl City 7-4 on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Ala Wai Field. It was the second win for the newly crowned champions over Pearl City (7-4, 7-4 in the double elimination format championship tournament. Central East Maui finished the tournament at 3-0 while Pearl City finished even at 2-2.
Central East Maui moves on the 2016 West Regional Tournament scheduled for July 19 -25 in Sacramento, California.
