Pearl City routs Kalaheo 47-6, improves to 4-0 in league play (9/14/2018)

The Pearl City Chargers improved to 4-0 in Oahu Interscholastic Association Division 2 varsity football after defeating the Kalaheo Mustangs 47-6 at Kailua High School on Friday, September 14, 2018.

Charger QB Makana Canyon passed for 158 yards and 4 TD’s. Thomas King picked up 102 yards on 6 receptions with 2 TD’s. Stanton Hong caught 1 pass for 22 yards and 1 TD. Micah Quillopo-Jamile caught 3 passes for 17 yards and 1 TD. Po’okela Moses-Espanto rushed for 76 yards on 3 carries with 1 TD. Herbert Hallers rushed for 41 yards on 4 carries.

On defense Charger DB Justin Pfau recorded an interception and a fumble recovery. Adonis Aufaga and Sione Siulangapo had a sack apiece in the ball game.

Kalaheo QB Noah Lapera passed for 120 yards and 1 TD. Lapera also rushed for 57 yards on 6 carries. Mustang wide receiver Kekoa Alana caught 2 passes for 56 yards. Jordan Neufeldt hauled in 5 passes for 49 yards and 1 TD. Carl Addy rushed for 85 yards on 16 carries.

Pearl City remains perfect in league play at 4-0 (4-2 overall) while Kalaheo pulls even at 2-2 (2-4 overall).
