Waipio stormed back from an early 8-2 deficit to defeat Pearl City 20-10 on Friday, June 9, 2017 in the opening round of the Hawaii Little League (8-10 year old) District 7 Tournament played at Puuloa Park in Ewa Beach.

Pearl City will be forced to fight their way back in the double elimination tournament with a 1pm game on Saturday at Puuloa Park. Opponent TBA.
