Waipio defeated Pearl City 13-4 on Little League 9-10 District 7 Championship Tournament on Sunday, June 9, 2013 Whitmore Park in Wahiawa.
Cayden Okada earned the win for Waipio. Mitchell Waikiki worked two innings to close it out for Waipio.
Mark Moreno, Keaolani Takemura and Pinemua Epenesa took the mound for Pearl City.
Michael Yamaguchi hit a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to give Pearl City an early 3-0.
Waipio moves on in the winner’s bracket with a record of 2-0. Pearl City dropped to the loser’s bracket with a 1-1 tournament record.
